A Long March-2D carrier rocket brought the first education-sharing satellite Young Pioneer I into space at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.

Young Pioneer I is a type of miniaturized satellite known as a 3U CubeSat, developed and tested by Commsat Technology Development. Its main functions are the storage and transmission of radio waves, the performance of a space imaging test, and the verification of user links to the Internet of Things.

More than 100,000 students from over 1,000 schools in China participated in the functional creativity of the prototype satellite. This has provided them with an experience in measuring and controlling real satellites.
