Tianjin evacuates thousands amid historic floods

Only the Juhe River remains above the warning level, but its water level is steadily decreasing. Water levels in other rivers remain generally stable, according to the district authority on Tuesday.
Power restoration is ongoing. As of Tuesday morning, six of eight power lines and 19 of 29 communication sites had been restored. The Tianjin branch of the State Grid has reconnected electricity for 22 villages, deploying large generators, drones, and satellite phones as part of the emergency response.
Authorities continue to monitor conditions as further rainfall is forecast.
