L'Oréal CEO: CIIE reaffirms China's firm belief in openness and shared opportunity
The 8th China International Import Expo demonstrates China's firm belief in openness and shared opportunity, which gives global companies confidence and direction, said CEO of L'Oréal Group.
"Today marks the opening of the 8th CIIE in Shanghai. For many years, I have closely followed the CIIE and fully supported it at the group level. Yet standing here in person for the first time, I am deeply impressed by the expo's remarkable scale, vitality, and spirit of innovation — especially inspiring in today's uncertain global context," Nicolas Hieronimus said after the opening ceremony of the CIIE on Wednesday morning.
"The CIIE, as a window for China to build a new development paradigm, a platform for promoting high-level opening up, and an international public good shared globally, can be said to be not only an entry point for the world economy into the Chinese economy but also an important bridge connecting China to the world.
"Having developed with China for 28 years, we are more convinced than ever that investing in China is investing in the future — a future full of growth, innovation, and beauty. We also look forward to being in China for the next 100 years. Our eight consecutive years of full participation at CIIE demonstrate this commitment. There is no other event in the world where we dedicate and invest more than the CIIE. Here, we showcase innovation, deepen collaboration, strengthen investment, and explore the full potential of beauty. We have already reserved our place for the 9th CIIE," he said.
"On this fertile land of innovation and development, the waves of openness are unstoppable, while the power of beauty endures across time. L'Oréal is proud to be a part of this current, continuing to deepen our presence in China, co-create value, and shape a better future,"Hieronimus added.
