Operations on the subway system in Hanghzou, capital of Zhejiang province, were suspended for nearly 40 minutes on Tuesday after two workers got on to the tracks.

The local government-run website hangzhou.com.cn said one of them, who lay down on the track at Qiaosi station, was rescued by police.

The other, who climbed a noise barrier before falling and injuring himself, was admitted to hospital.

Both workers were said to have been involved in labor disputes with their employer, who is involved in decoration work on the subway.
