BEIJING - A 4.2-magnitude quake jolted Ning'er Hani and Yi autonomous county, Southwest China's Yunnan province, at 9:47 am Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 5 km, was monitored at 23.1 degrees north latitude and 101.0 degrees east longitude, the center said.

At 11:47 am, a 3.8-magnitude tremor jolted the place again with a depth of 5 km, according to the CENC.

Cao said the epicenter was in the outskirt of Ning'er county, and relevant authorities are calculating the damages.
