Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong province, has made the Asia-Pacific region a focus in a bid to make its economy more open to the outside world.

With the goal of seeking partners in the region, a delegation led by Qingdao Deputy Mayor Liu Mingjun just wrapped up a tour of Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

The delegation also included other senior officials and executives from many large companies in the city.
