Obama criticized for silence over killings

By Agencies in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Mexico City | China Daily | Updated: 2015-02-14 08:12

As thousands of mourners attended the funeral prayers on Thursday for three young Muslims killed in North Carolina, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan criticized US President Barack Obama for his silence following the killings.

Erdogan urged him to take a position over the triple shooting.

"Three Muslims have been murdered in North Carolina and President Obama, (Secretary of State John) Kerry and (Vice President Joe) Biden have not made any statements about it," Erdogan said during a visit to Mexico.
