Southwest China's Guizhou province is displaying its diverse culture as the guest of honor at the 15th Shanghai Book Fair, which began at the Shanghai Exhibition Center on Aug 15 and will last until Aug 21.
As the largest showcase for books in China, the annual fair features a special guest province every year. This is the second time that Guizhou has been featured.

Nearly 2,000 of the newest books from Guizhou will be showcased at the fair, demonstrating the progress made by the province in press and publications.
The books feature the rich and diverse ethnic cultures in the province and cover multiple areas, such as social science, literature, technology, education and art. Some of them have won national honors.
At the book fair, Guizhou will invite authors to participate in events such as lectures, new book launches, book signings, and book readings, giving readers in Shanghai the chance to meet the authors in person.
Some of Guizhou's special handicrafts will also be shown, such as traditional silverware, ceramic, paper-making and embroidery.
