People in Zhangjiagang of Jiangsu province can now buy train tickets through the Lakala payment service at every branch of Suguo supermarket during Spring Festival.

Name and ID card numbers are still necessary to use the terminal. Choosing the item “Life Service,” people can land on the train ticket booking page. After typing starting place, destination, time and train number, price information and remaining tickets will appear on the screen. After they slide their bank card, purchasers will get an order number on their mobile phone. With the number, they can pick up their tickets at the railway station or ticket-booking agencies.

“No extra money will be charged for ticket purchases on the Lakala payment service. Those who don’t have Alipay accounts and can’t buy tickets online will be able to buy tickets through the service with their bank card – and it’s safer,” said an employee of Suguo supermarket.
