This project adds an efficient microorganism recipe, "bacteria + enzyme," into rivers in order to speed up the degradation of organic pollutants in river sediment and rapidly reconstruct the bottom of the food chain that is severely damaged. This lays a foundation for the ascending food chain's echelon recovery, and benthic fauna's implantation into the sediment. Through artificial ecological engineering and aeration technology to improve water quality and increase transparency, a dynamic equilibrium will be reached between water microorganisms, aquatic plants, aquatic animals and sediment, and water quality, which gradually will form a natural ecosystem. This project is selected as a pilot example of river renovation by the Ministry of Housing to improve the urban environment and drinking water security.
