TD Tech invests 1.5b yuan to build R&D center

CHENGDU -?TD Tech Ltd and the Chengdu Hi-tech Zone have signed an investment agreement to set up the Chengdu TD Tech Ltd in the Chengdu High-tech Zone in Sichuan province.
The Chengdu TD Tech Ltd will be engaged in the research and development of the networik business of the TDD sector.
The initial investment for the project is 200 million yuan and the total investment in five years will reach 1.5 billion yuan.
TD Tech Ltd, set up in 2005, is a leader in the third generation mobile communications.
Its innovative energy-saving technologies and products are widely used in China’s TD-SCDMA network construction. Its total investment in TD-SCDMA has been over 1.8 billion yuan and its annual average investment in research and development is about 300 million yuan.
